  • Minor surgery requires a little local anaesthetic to quickly and easily treat a number of conditions including:

    • Moles

    • Skin Cysts

    • Lipoma (Fatty Growth)

    • Skin Tags

    • Skin blemishes

    • Warts

    • Verrucae

  • Many of our patients are referred by their local GP, however if you are unsure you can simply make an appointment at the clinic our qualified and experienced doctor will recommend the appropriate treatment.

If there is a suspicion of malignancy a biopsy may be performed following which you may be referred back to your GP.

  • After your consultation our highly qualified local doctor will help you to choose the best procedure suited to your condition. Many treatment methods only take a few minutes, are minimally invasive and require only a local anaesthetic, including:

    • Simple excision

    • Shave excision & Cautery

    • Punch Biopsy

    • Cold Point Cautery

    • Joint & Soft Tissue Injections - using hyaluronic acid, steroids and PRP or a combination

  • The minor surgery treatments are undertaken within a comfortable and stress-free environment and usually take 30-45 minutes depending on the treatment required. The procedure will be fully explained to you by the doctor, who will answer any questions you may have.

When a lesion is removed it maybe sent for histology and after four weeks you will be informed of the results by the doctor who operated on you. Any onward referral will be organised by the operating doctor in due course.

  • When the local anaesthetic wears off you may experience some discomfort which should be eased by painkillers. If you have a dressing, leave it dry and intact for 72 hours. Once the dressing has been removed you may shower but avoid soaking in a bath or swimming for two weeks or until the stitches have been removed, unless covered by a waterproof plaster.

  • The initial consultation is FREE and depending on the treatment required, the surgical procedure will cost from £200. If necessary, histology will cost £125 per skin lesion tested.
